Export of India:An Analysis of Indian Merchandized Export to European Union

The 27 states of the European Union make up one of the most powerful core of the world economy. India and the European Union share the vision of a democratic, multi-cultural and multi-polar world. The EU is India's single largest trading partner. The present study is an attempt to work out (i) nature of Indian export with EU, (ii) opportunities & challenges of Indian export to EU and (iii) suggestions to improve the Indian export to EU. The study is based on secondary data of thirteen years i.e. from 1996 to 2008. Annual compound growth rate and Revealed comparative advantage index method have been used for analyzing the data.
