Coronary Heart Disease among Females:An Emotional Link

The present study was conducted to identify the emotional traits of females with cardiovascular diseases and females without cardiovascular diseases. 75 females with cardiovascular diseases and equal number of controls (females without cardiovascular diseases) participated in the study. Bar-On Emotional Quotient inventory was used to assess emotional intelligence of all the subjects. The results indicated that females with cardiovascular diseases are self-reliant and control their feelings and thinking according to external reality whereas females without cardiovascular diseases had satisfactory relationship with their groups and look at the brighter side of life.
