Understanding aggression and identifying the factors that intensify or reduce aggressive behaviour demand continued research due to its negative impact on social well being. Research studies indicate that Taekwondo training impacts upon aggression in children and adults. Therefore, the present study looked at the aggression and personality of Taekwondo students undergoing regular training. The Taekwondo students were also administered a self-developed questionnaire seeking information pertaining to the impact of Taekwondo training on them. Sixty male students (30 Taekwondo students and 30 non Taekwondo students) in the age range of 18-22 years were administered the Aggression Questionnaire (Buss & Perry, 1992) and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1975). Results revealed that the two groups of students differed on aggressive behaviour. The relevance of these findings is discussed in terms of Taekwondo training as a useful technique for inhibiting aggressive behaviour in students.
