Role of Emotional Empowerment Technique (EET) in overcoming Shame and Guilt in People Living with HIV/AIDS

The present study attempts to study the efficacy of Emotional Empowerment Technique (EET) in overcoming Shame and Guilt in people living with HIV/AIDS. The sample comprised of 15 HIV positive male patients between the age group of 20-40 years seeking treatment from Civil Hospital, Ludhiana. The patients were assessed by State Shame and Guilt Scale (SSGS), which measured the state level of shame, guilt andpnde. Emotional Empowerment Technique(EET)was applied on them for 5 days and again same scale was administered. To study the efficacy of the ETT,t test was applied and the results revealed significant differences on pre and post test.
