A Study of Locus of Control and Attitude towards Morality Upon Psychological Well Being in Criminals

The present study was designed to investigate the psychological well being in relation to locus of control and attitude towards morality. The study was conducted on 300 criminals of different type i.e 60 murder convict, 60 rape convict, 60 dowry convict, 60 robbery convict and 60 ndps act convict. Rotter's (1966) locus of control scale, Verma & Verma (1969) Psychological wellbeing measure and Banerjee (1962) Attitude towards morality scale were used to collect the data. The results of the study reveal that psychological well have the significant effect on locus of control and attitude towards morality in criminals. Subjects with high attitude towards morality and internal locus of control score significantly high on psychological well being.
