Usage of E-Resources under UGC-Infonet in Sambalpur University Library: An IP-Level Analysis

Based on an IP-level analysis of publisher-wise usage-statistics of e-resources subscribed under UGC-INFONET, downloaded for the five-year period from 2005 to 2009, the attempts to examine the patterns by which e-journals are accessed by the Faculty, Research Scholars and M.Phil Students of Sambalpur University. The study also discusses the utilization of e-resources with respect to different disciplines. It also talks about UGC-Infonet and its objectives, and find ways and means for a better usage of e-resources and its management. The paper guides to improve the underutilized e-resources and suggest measures for future subscription and discontinuity of e-resources.
