Citation Analysis of Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science -1996-2012

This paper presents a Bibliometric techniques were used to analyze the citation analysis and authorship trend in contributions of "Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science" during 1996 - 2012. More than 6770 bibliographic references appearing at end of the contributions in the MJLIS. A total of 279 contributions and 6779 citations were examined the present study. The year wise growth of publications, authorship pattern, number of citations per contribution, type of publications cited and preparing of ranked list of cited journals in contribution of this journal is studied. The study reveals that journals are the most cited publication amongst the library and information scientists and the source journal i.e. Scientrometrics is the most cited journal in the contributions of this journal.
