Vital bleaching is one of the most common cosmetic dental procedures done in dental office. This procedure consists of carbamide or hydrogen peroxide gel applications that can be applied in-office or by the patient (athome/ overnight bleaching system). In-office treatments utilise light to speed up the process. The objective of this article is to review the effect of light-activation sources on in-office tooth bleaching.
