A descriptive study to assess the knowledge on child birth preparation among primigravid mothers in a selected tertiary care hospital at Kelambakkam, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. The objectives are to assess the knowledge on child birth preparation among primigravid mothers in a selected tertiary care hospital at Kelambakkam, Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. To find out the association between level of knowledge with demographic variables. The convenience sampling technique was used to select 41 samples. Validity and reliability data collection tools were established. The data were collected by selfadministered questionnaires. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The study shows that 2.5% of the women had adequate knowledge, 61% of the women had moderate knowledge, and 36.5% of the women had inadequate knowledge regarding child birth preparation.
