Body stalk anomaly or Limb Body Wall Complex (LBWC) is rare and fatal developmental polymal formation, with at least two of the following features: exencephaly and facial clefts, thoraco and/or abdominoschisis (midline defect) and limb defect with an incidence of one in 14,000 to 1 in 75,000 pregnancies. A 25 year old gravida two, abortion one presented at 20 weeks of gestation with an ultrasound report showing abdominal wall defect with herniated abdominal contents floating in amniotic fluid, gross thoraco-lumbar kyphoscoliosis, multiple vertebral anomalies, right clubfoot and continous juxtaposition of fetus to placenta. Pregnancy was terminated to expell a live male abortus (250gm) with placenta. Fetal autopsy confirmed clinical and scan diagnosis of LBWC.
