A Study to Analyse the Effect of Body Mass Index on Posture in Industrial Workers

Objective: To analyse the effect of Body Mass Index (BMI) on posture in industrial workers

Materials&method: The study was included one hundred subjects, involved in industrial work for minimum of 5 years, age group ranging from 25 to 40 years. Plumb line, Rapid upper limb assessment score-sheet were used for static and dynamic postures measurement.

Results: Multinomial logistic regression analysis test showed that static posture was not significantly affected by body mass index, however dynamic posture was significantly affected by body mass index.

Conclusion: There is significant effect of body mass index on dynamic posture.
