Happiness and Peer Pressure among Adolescents

The study aimed at investigating the relationship between happiness and peer pressure among adolescents as well as gender differences and differences middle and late adolescents in happiness and peer pressure. The sample composed of a total of 120 adolescents from Bangalore. The Oxford Happmess Questionnaire by Hills and Argyle (2001) and Peer Pressure Scale by Singh and Saini (2010) were administered to the sample. The obtained data were analyzed using Perason's 'r' and 't' tests. The findings revealed that there was a significant negative relationship between happiness and peer pressure among adolescents. Also, Middle and late adolescents did not differ significantly in happiness and peer pressure, and there were no significant gender differences among adolescents in happiness and peer pressure.
