Inculcating Gratitude: An Experimental Investigation of Gratitude and Subjective Happiness in Daily Life

This study attempts to explore the relationship between expressing gratitude and positive emotions. The sample of the current study composed 60 college girls pursumg graduation. The mam purpose of tins study was to test the effectiveness of gratitude intervention. The current study also tested for the mam effects of gratitude on positive emotions. Results confirmed that counting one's blessings withm early adolescence is, indeed, related to well-being and other positive emotions. Findings also support that gratitude induction (i.e., counting blessings) is related to greater positive emotions when compared to those participants who serve as controls.
