Efficient Load Balancing Algorithms: A Review
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Load balancing is a way to spread tasks out over multiple resources. Load balancing helps a network avoid annoying downtime and delivers optimal performance to users by processing tasks and directing sessions on different servers. The main purpose of load balancing is to improve the performance of a distributed system through an appropriate distribution of the load. This problem is formulated as follows: given a large number of jobs, allocate the jobs to computers for optimizing a given objective function (e.g. total execution time). The present paper reviews on efficient load balancing algorithms.
