In this paper, the development of integral of a real variable is examined from the definition given by Cauchy to the definition introduced by Lebesgue. The limitations of Riemann Integral are observed. An example is also given to show then arrow class of Riemann Integral. The large class of Lebesgue Integral is also discussed.
