Change in Characteristics of Paper/Board After Printing

Paper and board has its own properties which make it suitable for printing in any press, but these properties changes after printing when paper comes in contact with ink as it goes through various processes. The mechanical and strength properties of paper reflect the intrinsic chemistry and structure of the paper Strength properties can thereby serve as indicators of the permanence of paper and thus are backbone of printing. Careful monitoring of strength properties can also be used for finding out the changes on these properties. The objective of this study was to identify the changes in strength properties of paper after printing.
