Review on Connected Component Text Recognition in Images

Digital images are very good source of information. Text recognition is the field of detecting text from natural images. This textual information can be crucial for different applications. A lot of work has already been done in this field and there is still scope to ample the prick. A detailed review of the existing text recognition methods and techniques has been presented in this paper. The review is mainly focused on connected component methods, their advantages and disadvantages. This literature review will serve as reference for researchers in the field of scene text detection and recognition.
