This paper reports the remedial measures to reduce floor vibrations caused due to human activities in an existing RCC commercial building. A case study is carried out in a building located at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, where reinforced concrete floor vibration is beyond human threshold limit. First, the design report of various RCC structural elements is cross verified and then the non destructive tests are conducted to assess the quality of concrete used for construction. From the acquired information, various remedial measures that are feasible to rehabilitate the building is analysed by analytical and numerical methods. Then, the suitable remedial measure in regard to structural behaviour and economy is recommended.
