Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- Title - This should be in block capitals, brief and specific conveying the main subject of the contents of the paper. The title should be followed with the name of author/ authors (in block capitals) along with their affiliation and complete address. Senior/ corresponding author should also give his/her email Id.
- Abstract - Abstract should summarize the content of the paper. It should be accurate, expressive, intelligible and brief (not exceeding 200 words). Do not write references nor display equations in the abstract.
- Keyword - Three to five keywords which are prominently used in the paper and have relevance to the contents should be given following the “Abstract”.
- Introduction - It should introduce the topic with a background knowledge/studies related to the topic, justifying the selection of the study and also elaborate in short the objectives of the study.
- Presentation of the article- The contribution should be submitted in the following format :
(1) Title,
(2) Name of author/authors along with their affiliation/address,
(3) Abstract,
(4) Key words,
(5) Introduction
(6) Material and Methods,
(7) Results and Discussion,
(8) Conclusion and
(9) References. The matter should be typed in double space on one side only of A4 size paper with a margin of 2.5 cm. Contributions should be sent in duplicate (Hard copies) along with electronic version either on line or in CD exactly matching the final printed matter.(10) One liner - One liner should be katchy highlighting the main outcome of the study in brief, just in one line (not exceeding 25 words) - Submission of Manuscript- Authors may submit their article for publication in Indian Forester at our website www.Indianforester.co.in. They may also send their manuscripts by surface/airmail for consideration. For the processing of accepted papers, electronic versions are required. After final acceptance, the soft copy of the final paper (CD), along with exactly matching printed versions should be submitted. Label the CD disk with the article no., title and authors’ name. Please make all illustrations only in black and white. Please note that the figures given must not contain any background/screen. In case of scanned half- tones (photographs) inserted in the text, invariably send the original photo prints also.
- Illustrations/Photographs - The number of illustrations should be kept minimum as their reproduction is costly. Photographs and drawings should, if possible, be made to the correct proportion of the printing page of the journal. Nothing should be written in pencil or ink or typewritten on the back of the illustration. Photographs and illustrations should not be pinned or sewn with thread. The Photographs should be in black and white, or coloured, with pronounced contrasts and glossy finish. Captions should be typed or written on separate strips of paper and attached with colourless adhesives to the back of the prints. The approximate place where the illustrations are to be inserted should be indicated in the text, and the illustrations should be serially numbered. When mailing, illustrations should be placed between cardboards held together by thin thread or clips.
- References- References should be given at the end of the article on separate sheet of paper. Reference to a citation in the text should be made by means of the author's name followed by the year of publication in parenthesis. The references, in the list should be arranged alphabetically in chronological order. No numbering should be made while writing references. References should be written uniformly as the author's name and initials (abbreviated), the year of publication (in parenthesis) , the title of the article, the title of the book or periodical (in italics) volume number (in bold) and the page numbers, thus:

Small tables are given at appropriate place in the text while bigger tables should be submitted on separate sheets at the end of the article and must fit into single column, full width or, if absolutely necessary, landscape format. The use of vertical rules should be avoided. Numerical results should be calculated with suitable statistical package indicating significant differences, quoting probability levels.
- Declaration - I declare that the manuscript has not been published in any journal/book or proceedings or in any other publication or offered for publication elsewhere in substantially the same or abbreviated form, either in print or electronically.

If you choose to become a registered member of Website, you must provide your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, a unique login name, password, and password validation, and a password hint to help you remember your password.
