Abstract
Among the ten tree species tried in field conditions of South Saurashtra region of Gujarat at College of Agriculture, Gujarat Agricultural University, Junagadh, the survival percentage was higher in all the tree species except Eucalyptus. Siris and Persian lilac had higher plant height while the stem girth was higher in Cordia and Persian lilac. The number of leaves retained per plant was highest in Manila tamarind followed by Persian lilac. The total leaf area per plant was highest in Persian lilac followed by Siris and Neem.
