The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for developing a suitable program suitable for the elderly's requirements. The subjects of this study were 99 elderly people out of 100 who participated in the Well-Dying program conducted by the hospice center in S city in Kyunggi-province. The collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS version 17.0 for Windows. 84.7% of the total subjects wanted to have natural death. 41.8% responded they wanted to be with their children most when faced death. 61.7% wanted to pass away at home and prepared cemetery the most, which accounts for 18.2%. Cremation ranked the highest portion amounting to 63.3% than burial. 58.1% have never heard of death educational program and 67% thought to need death educational program. As investigated in the studies on death perception, death preparation and need for death educational program, various results were presented according to subjects characteristics.
