Objectives: There have been many researches on the relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behaviors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-esteem and anger coping strategies of college students. Methods/Statistical Analysis: The Rosenberg’s self-esteem scale and Anger Coping Inventory (ACI) were administered to all participants of 180 college students in Korea. The ACI consisted of 19 items and 5 strategies. Findings: There were significantly positive correlations between self-esteem and problem-solving, tension-releasing among anger coping strategies. No significant correlation was found between self-esteem and the other three kinds of anger coping strategies. Improvements/Applications: Based on the findings of this study, this research suggests that there should be more intervention to Korean nursing students in order to make them manage their anger more properly and improve their self-esteem.
