Double-diffusive Marangoni convection in an open top square cavity filled with aqueous solution, which both verticals walls are differentially-heated and -salted, is studied numerically with the presence of entropy generation. The finite difference method is applied in this study where the governing parameters involved are the thermal (MaT) and solutal (MaC) Marangoni numbers, together with the Grashof (Gr), Biot (Bi), Prandtl (Pr), Lewis (Le) numbers. The aspect ratio of the cavity is 1 where the buoyancy ratio is kept at 2. The results are portrayed as the contours of streamlines, isotherms, isoconcentrations and entropy generation where the effect of Marangoni number is been considered. The predicted results shown that the heat and mass transfer have similar patterns unlike the entropy generation which display an increasing pattern as the Marangoni number increased.
