Objectives: The Carbon Footprint due to numerous operations and activities in Fixed Chimney Bull's Trench Kilns (FCBTK's) were calculated. Methods/Analysis: A field survey of the brick kilns in Roorkee was conducted to gather information regarding the use of fuel, soil and electricity and also the transportation of bricks. The carbon dioxide emissions due to numerous operations and activities were calculated using the guidelines provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Findings: The average total Carbon Footprint of the bricks produced in the FCBTKs in Roorkee is projected to be 427.985 kg CO2/1000 bricks. Application/Improvements: This study also developed an object-based Geographic Information System (GIS) tool that automatically determined the Carbon Footprint of brick production according to user requirements.
