Three fungal species namely, Aspergillus fumigatus, Penicillium chrysogenum and Verticillium terrestre, isolated from sugarcane field soil, revealed the extracellular production of amylase, cellulase and lipase. Improvement in elucidation of these enzymes was achieved by developing mutants after exposure to UV light.
