ZnO thin film was prepared by spray pyrolysis decomposition of zinc acetate onto a glass substrate. The deposited film was characterized by high resolution XRD, AFM, and PL spectroscopic techniques to reveal its structural, morphological and optical properties. The ZnO/Si solar cell has been realized by depositing the ZnO on Si solar cell by spray pyrolysis technique. ZnO is created with submicron thickness (0.8μm) to provide an efficient anti-reflective layer and to get the advantage of potential band gap tuning, via light trapping. The best out put parameters obtained for solar cell; open circuit voltage Voc, short circuit current Isc; fill factor FF, and efficiency Eff% were calculated in this work.
