The Relationship of the Selected Kinematic Variables with the Performance of Low Dribble in Basketball at Execution Phase
Biomechanical motion analysis will directly lead to improved performance and injury prevention. We report the relationship between selected biomechanical variables with the performance of low dribble. The study was delimited to male basketball players who participated in North Zone Inter University Basketball Championship 2010-11 held at CSJMU Kanpur, India. The study was further delimited to the 20 subject belonging to the age group 18 to 28 years. The data was collected by the help of Siliconcoach pro 7 motion analysis system. The Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, Multiple Correlation and regression equation method was used to measure the relationship between selected biomechanical variables with the performance of low dribble. The level of significance was set at 0.05. Our study concludes that the angle of Hip joint and Elbow joint significantly influences the performance of low dribble.
