Role of Factor Analysis in the Early Conception of Intelligence

Intelligence as a concept is much easier to measure then to define, its multifaceted character has resulted in different conceptualizations across many decades, which can now be classified under three distinct approaches namely Psychometric, Information processing and Cognitive. This article attempts to bring to light the importance of factor analysis in the early conception and measurement of intelligence. Which falls under the Psychometric approaches towards understanding intelligence.
