Health Seeking Behaviour and Women:A Review

Women health is the most prominent factor for family and to any society. 48% Indian women are anemic according to studies. Especially women working in the unorganized sector are more vulnerable to health problems, as they have to deal with gender based socio-cultural and economic challenges of family and its members, along with, they need to take care of their physical and psychological health needs which is substantially challenging. Therefore it is the need of the hour to understand all these complexities in their totality to enable women to enter into quality life. This study is based on the secondary data and study employs Descriptive research design to understand the health seeking behavior of women working in the unorganized sector and the factors influencing their behavior. Review reflects close nit relation between the health seeking behavior of women their family, work place and society at large.
