Role of Social Media Usage on Academic Development of Adolescent Students: A Systematic Review
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Today's most frequent social media users are adolescent students. Adolescent students grow up in an environment where social media will mediate various aspects of their lives. Their use of social media, consequently, shapes many of their experiences. Subsequently, questions emerge about the effects of social media on adolescent students due to how ingrained social media is in their life. A systematic review of seven articles was used to collect information on the influence of social media on adolescent students' academic life; the studies collected concluded that using social media could have both positive and negative consequences on adolescent students' academic growth.
