Bulaea lividula bocandei Mulsant (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), hitherto known from North Africa, the Middle East, and Pakistan, is recorded for the first time from India (Tamil Nadu). Suaeda maritima (L.) Dumort. (Chenopodiaceae), a common halophytic plant in mangroves, is recorded as a new host plant of B. lividula bocandei. A brief diagnostic account of the species with illustrations is given along with details on its host plants and distribution.
