Bringing a new baby into this world is the most mysterious, wonderful and a joyful experience. It is a meaningful experience for the one who is expecting to be a mother. Motherhood means bearing and rearing a child. Every pregnant woman hopes for a healthy baby and an uncomplicated pregnancy. Every child is precious to its mother. In order for the mother to have a healthy child it is necessary that she has a safe motherhood. Most of the pregnancy related complications are preventable and the incidence rates can be brought by through various health promotions measures. While taking into account the health determinants, it is essential to comprehend the fact that poor physical circumstances are not merely the only aspect which effects health. Inadequate education will reduce the ability to understand and use health related information.  Thus, education is an important determinant of health status in both the developed and developing world. While it cannot be proved exactly how education impacts on health, educating women will help the women in decision making and use of resources within the family. Educated women understand the causes of illness and disease and the use of recent health services.
