Analytical Survey of Localisation Strategies in Wireless Sensor Networks and their Applicability in WSN Applications
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The use of state of art wireless sensor networks in various day to day problems require spatio-temporal distribution of sensed data to get the clear vision of the data and its pattern. As large no of sensor nodes are broadcasted in a certain area, locating their position posses a challenge to us. This paper discusses various ways to find the internode distances by measuring communicational parameters like RSS, AoA, ToA etc. These parametric measurements finally lead to the plotting of network. While dealing with the topological challenges the limitations of all the deterministic and probabilistic methods are discussed here. Finally the suitability of various techniques in different WSN applications is presented.
