VoIP applications require more reliable quality of service guaranteed packet switching techniques. Load balancing is an efficient optimization technique to improve QoS. It moves the traffic from congested links to alternative paths in the network. To perform load balancing and improve link utilization Efficient Load balancing techniques for VoIP applications is proposed for Multiprotocol Label Switching networks. The proposed MPLSMR algorithm classifies the flows and finds the multiple paths for a source and destination pair. To utilize all the available paths efficiently, this algorithm first finds an intermediate node k, from the intermediate node k multiple paths which satisfy the given QoS constraints are discovered using grouping based multipath selection algorithm. The incoming flow is splitted into these paths and the packets are dispersed in weighted round robin fashion.
