It was determined that evaluation of regulatory systems functional reserves for physical load during the dynamics of training process will facilitate the optimization of an organism functional state of the persons being trained. During study of vegetative regulation types, 50 handball players of 6-7 grades (12-13 years old) were examined at handball training process at "Olimp" Complex Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve of Togliatti. Under the same conditions, we determined physiological indices of main group (MG) and control group (CG) from Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution secondary school No. 90. For MG athletes, during training process, corrective exercises were applied to perform functional indices optimization. In CG, during training, physical education lessons were given according to standard program. Regarding to the functional state, training process adjustments were made to optimize the functional state of the athletes. The revealed functional and morphological peculiarities and athletes' adaptive resources allow to use proper physical load in the course of training process to optimize functional state of organisms of persons being trained. Determined formation regularities of an athlete's organism adaptive reactions, taking into account the individual adaptation to different physical activities, may be used to increase efficiency of the training.
