Since ancient times, about 80% of individuals use traditional medicine, which has chemical compounds derived from medicinal plants. According to WHO, more than 80% of the world’s population rely on plant based product to meet their healthcare needs. Terminalia arjuna and Glycyrrhiza glabra is an ayurvedic plant with medicinal value. The aim of study was to analyze the effect of different drying methods i.e. oven, sun, microwave and freeze dried on the phytochemicals of stem bark extract of Terminalia arjuna and ischolar_main extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra. The Phytochemicals screening revealed the presence of alkaloid, saponins, triterpenoids, and phytosterols in ischolar_main extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra and stem bark extract of Terminalia arjuna. While the carbohydrate test was found to be positive only in the ischolar_main extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra.
