Subscribe/Renew Journal
Modern world stands at the pinnacle of technological glory with all its constantly changing paraphernalia. Myriads of gadgets capable of shrinking the world to a few apps and captivating the new generation professionals to the lure of technology, confining and even addicting them to it, eventually lead to a world of limited social interactions and strained relations. The after-effects of this phenomenon are manifested in the behaviour patterns of people, especially of the new generation professionals in countless organizations across the globe. Technology keeps changing, but human behavior remains more or less the same, although its manifestations in different contexts may call for different organizational strategies to deal with them effectively. Analysing the causes of and finding out solutions to the multiple and complex behaviour patterns in an organisational context have much more relevance today than ever before, in view of the technological revolution and the corresponding organizational changes taking place in the world. Hence this book, Cases in Organizational Behaviour: Perspectives from the New-Gen Workplace, will be a lighthouse in the dark and cloudy sea of Organizational Behavior (OB) studies, primarily because of the exhaustive research and comprehensive analysis of the underlying reasons that provoke various types of human behaviour in organizations.
