The authors of the book have brought out the nuances expressed by Henry Mintzberg in the above said quote in their book, Shaping Organizational Strategies: Future Perspectives, Concepts and Cases. The book definitely occupies the list of compulsory readings for an MBA graduate, before he or she enters the corporate world to take up any managerial position, the reason being the strong intention of the authors to sensitize students of management studies to internalize the idea of ‘organizational dynamics’. Generally, the students who graduate either from a B-School or from any other Management College tend to have their own way of understanding their role in an organization. Many a times, they end up isolating themselves from the realistic ways of organizational functioning. Students who get into management roles find themselves in a confused state as they fail to understand the actual organizational framework, around which their careers are entwined deeply.
