The book, Statistics for Management, by Levin, Rubin, Siddiqui and Rastogi is a well written text book aimed to explain the role and application of statistics in management domain. It emphases on the understanding of statistical concepts, data management, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, decision making and forecasting techniques with strong real-world focus. The book is divided into 17 chapters. It attempts to provide self-learning through cases, illustrations, self-check exercises, and statistical analysis through Excel and SPSS along with the relevant snapshots for running various tools on the software. All four authors of the book are accomplished academicians and have written number of other books previously. At the beginning the author addressed that this book is written with few goals, i.e., book ought to be intuitive and easy to learn, avoiding complex mathematical notations which enhances teaching of business statistics and strong real-world focus.
