The last few years have witnessed phenomenal growth in the luxury fashion industry. Yet, very few studies have been performed in this domain to gain an in-depth understanding about the luxury consumer behavior. This study is based upon an extensive review of literature and aims to fill this gap by classifying various factors pertaining to luxury purchase intention into four broad categories, i.e., cultural orientation, intrinsic factors, extrinsic factors and resources. Going further, an integrated conceptual framework based on an extension of the Theory of Planned Behavior that would provide a holistic view about the key determinants of luxury goods consumption has been proposed in this study.
