Identifying the Critical Predictors of Extra-Organizational Life in the Indian Service Sector
Subscribe/Renew Journal
This study, based on the spillover relationship between work and extra-organizational life, examines specific management practices which affect extra-organizational life. The emotional response triggered in the work domain by the management practices psychologically spills over to affect the extra-organizational life. Using data from service sector employees, it identifies seven critical predictors of extra-organizational life. The paper argues that by controlling these predictors, a harmony between work and life can be attained.
