Many researches show that E-learning is better than the traditional learning. Human factors such as EQ, Attention, Personality, Stress, IQ, Attitude and Cognitive factors such as recollection, retention, comprehension and recognition are some of the factors of E-learning process. The objective of this paper is to explore the relationship between Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Recollection & Retention (R & R) skills of students in E-learning environment. A case study was conducted by preparing customized questionnaires in order to examine the students’ IQ level and R&R skills. The IQ level which is quantified in terms of logical, mathematical, verbal and spatial intelligences. The relationships between IQ and R & R skills are also explored. It reveals that spatial and verbal intelligence students have better R & R skill when compared to other intelligence students. Based on the results of the case study, a set of E-learning System Design factors have been proposed for web user interface design in E-learning Environment.
