At the outset, I convey my best wishes to our members, supporters and well-wishers for a happy and prosperous new year 2014.

I am pleased to inform you that IIW-India Visakhapatnam Branch had successfully organized a two day seminar on the theme, "Welding Management for Sustainable Development" on 22nd and 23rd November, 2013 at Visakhapatnam and IIW-India Mumbai Branch organized their Annual Seminar on the theme", "Welding Today & Tomorrow" on 3rd November, 2013 at Mumbai. Both the above Branch Seminars were well attended by the participants.

Coming back to the activities organized by the Institute, we continue to make excellent progress in the Skill Development area. Details of recent activities are as follows.
