Hastelloy-G is a columbium stabilized nickel based alloy with additions of chromium, molybdenum and iron as major constituents. The chemical composition of this alloy is such that it is highly resistant to corrosive attack by both acidic and alkaline media. It can handle both oxidizing and reducing agents and as a result is finding wide application in the chemical process industries. Hastelloy-G has excellent corrosion resistance to sulphuric and phosphoric acids over a wide range of temperatures and concentrations.
