Welding Processes Adopted for the Manufacture of Diesel Electric Locomotives at Varanasi

This paper describes some important aspects of the manufacture of diesel locomotives which would be of particular interest to a Weld Fabrication Engineer. Keeping in tune with the theme of the seminar, a major portion of the paper is devoted to a few specialised welding processes adopted in the fabrication of the locomotive sub-assemblies.
