Dear Friends,

You are aware that the Governing Council of the international Institute of Welding has entrusted us to organise the Annual Assembly of the International Institute of Welding to be held in India in 2011. No doubt, this decision was mainly prompted by our successful conduction of the two International Congresses held in Mumbai and Chennai respectively in 2005 and 2008. Our responsibilities have therefore increased manifold and our success would largely depend on active participation and a team effort by all our members.
