On the eve of IIW - IWC 2005, IIW members should consider themselves proud, for their institute being awarded to host this prestigious event, being held for the first time in any South Asian country. A large number of delegates from 29 countries have already confirmed to participate in the congress. In which around 127 technical papers are going to be presented. Along with this, Weld India Expo 2005 is also being organised which will provide opportunity to the manufacturers S’ suppliers of welding and allied products to showcase their products to the Indian consumers S’ overseas delegates. Our Mumbai Branch and all those who took active part in organizing this great event indeed deserve a lot of appreciation. On behalf of IWJ, we decided to make this a special issue and distribute it to all the participating delegates S’ distinguished guests to commemorate the occassion.
