Objective: To evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of leaf galls of Piper nigrum Linn. against the carageenan induced paw oedema in Albino rats. Materials and methods: The benzene, chloroform and ethanol extracts of leaf galls of Piper nigrum Linn. were obtained by continuous soxhlet extraction. Each extract was assessed for anti-inflammatory activity in carageenan induced Albino rats by measuring the paw volume and ulcerogenic activity was also carried out. Results: All the extracts showed significant (P<0.05) anti-inflammatory activity in which ethanol extract showed prominent (P<0.01) effect. The extracts were devoid of ulcerogenic action. Conclusion: From the results, it is revealed that, the active ethanol extract of leaf galls of Piper nigrum is worthwhile to develop the bioactive principle for inflammatory disorders.Keywords

Aesthetics corrections of teeth and jaws are undertaken in dentistry by Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics. Any mal occlusion can be corrected by using braces fixed on to the teeth, on its labial side (front side).This branch of orthodontic has been in increasing demand among adults which necessitated innovative unique approaches. Adults' primary concern appears to be aesthetic. There are various types of braces available to serve this purpose. Though there are ceramic brackets, plastic or composite brackets, lingual orthodontic system is the improved aesthetic alternative.Keywords

Hepatocyte are the functional cells of the liver and perform a wide range of metabolic, secretory and endocrine functions. Hepatotoxicity implies chemical-driven liver damage. The liver plays a major role in transforming and clearing chemicals and is susceptible to the toxicity from these agents. Certain medicinal agents, when taken in overdoses and sometimes even when introduced within therapeutic ranges, may injure the organ. Other chemical agents, those used in laboratories and industries, natural chemicals and herbal remedies can also cause hepatotoxicity. Borreria hispida seed flavonoid-rich fraction possesses free radical scavenging and antioxidant activity both in vitro and in vivo Borreria hispida Linn has been in use in the Indian system of medicine. Various part of the plant are useful in the treatment of antifertility, appetite, Bleeding in child birth, body ache, Gum trouble, scabies and skin disease, Stomach compliance, Ulcers, hepatitis, Wounds, head ache and tooth ache. The hepatotoxicity is induced by the paracetamol overdose, and the methanolic extract of Borreria hispida shows a good reduction of hepatotoxicity.Keywords

The antistress activity of aqueous extract of Centella asiatica. Linn leaves (Umbelliferae) were studied at doses of 100mg and 200mg/kg against tail suspension test. A dose dependent reduction in immobility time was observed in TST. Imipramine (30mg/kg, i.p) was selected as reference standard. The extract also significantly potentiate the Phenobarbitone induced sleeping time in mice. The findings from the present investigation indicates the extract has significant antistress as shown by its effects on different experimentally induced animal models.Keywords

Wireless sensor networks utilize large numbers of wireless sensor nodes to collect information from their sensing range. Wireless sensor nodes are battery-powered devices. Energy saving is always crucial to the lifetime of a wireless sensor network. Many algorithms are proposed to tackle the energy saving problem in wireless sensor networks. Data collection efficiency is usually compromised in return for gaining longer network lifetime. There are strong needs to develop wireless sensor networks algorithms with optimization priorities biased to aspects besides energy saving. In this work, a delay-aware data collection network structure for wireless sensor networks is carried out. The objective of the network structure is to minimize delays in the data collection processes of wireless sensor networks. The tree structure is efficient in data collection because it reduces the number of links in the network. Performances of the proposed network structure are evaluated using computer simulations and compared with general multiple unicast technique. Simulation results show that, when comparing with other common network structures in wireless sensor networks, the proposed network structure is able to shorten the delays in the data collection process significantly.

The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is an emerging standard for the deployment of data oriented applications in wireless environments. Although some components of the WAP suite have been developed, it lacks a complete general architecture integrating all the protocols, software components of both the Internet and wireless contexts in a transparent way. The protocol stack consists of miniaturized versions of UDP, TCP, SLP and HTTP protocols with reduced header sizes and complexity to make the protocols usable in wireless sensor networks. This paper presents a general architectural framework to develop and deploy portable applications and services accessible by WAP compliant mobile terminals, extending end-to-end services between terminal and business applications.

Advanced trade materials such as polymers, ceramics, composites, and super alloys play an ever increasing important role in modern manufacturing industries. There are many applications, where engineers have reached the performance limit of metals, and there is no alternative but to seek the use of advanced material in various applications like aluminum alloy and composite. Machining of aluminum alloy and composite requires the need for better understanding of cutting processes regarding Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (Ra). To meet the challenges of the changing world, the Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) process must have the process capability, accuracy and robustness. In EDM process, it is important to select machining parameters for achieving optimal machining performance in these types of materials. To achieve this goal, the EDM process has to be modeled and optimized. In this work, Response Surface Methodology is used to investigate the effect of six controllable input variables namely peak current, discharge voltage, pulse on time, pulse off time, spark gap and oil pressure and also two output variables like MRR and SR are the responses. The experimental work is to know the effect of above-mentioned six input variables on EDM and to conclude this effect on the MRR and SR. This paper describes optimizations of EDM processes using RSM giving the details of formulation of optimization models, solution methodology used and optimization result in machining of Al alloy with HE9 and LM25 Al/10% SiC.Keywords

Objectives: Our aim of this project is to use aluminum titanium diboride metal matrix composites in aeronautical and marine field by reducing its weight and improve the hardness and corrosion behavior. For this aluminum titanium diboride compound are made by stir casting method. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Aluminum 2011 material is fabricated by stir casting method with added titanium diboride on various weight percentage compositions. The hardness and corrosion are developed with the raise in weight percentage of titanium diboride particles. The properties of reinforced metal matrix composites iron, copper, zinc, lead, silicon, bismuth and aluminim are the chemical composition of Al2011. The analysis of microstructure, corrosion and mechanical properties of aluminum titanium diboride metal matrix composites with specific attention on the before after as cast and extrusion behavior of the composites. Findings: Tensile test for the alloy and composite samples are done using Instron UTM. The tensile stress of the composites improves significantly with the TiB2 content. Micrograph of the heat treated composite samples taken at different locations from outer surface of the casting. Hardness tests are done using the Vickers hardness testing machine. The firmness characters of the precipitation conducted specimens are more than that of the as-cast samples. Meanwhile after the secondary process as per the observation the tensile stress of the extruded composites reveal 135M Pa improvement of 5% opposing the as cast samples. After raising the metal matrix composites to 10% was plastically deranged shows the value 171M Pa. The SEM of the extruded samples shows enlarged grains of aluminum solid solution with inter-metallic particles at the grain boundaries to restrict the deformation. This result improves the extrusion process well in grain enlightening and uniform particle distribution compared to as cast condition of samples. Compare to as cast samples the plastic deformation process gives the extruded samples with higher strength 47 to 60 BHN. Application/Improvements: Now a day’s Al-2011 is the top most non-ferrous metal used in sector multiple industrial applications like aerospace, marine, automotive, rail, building, packaging, energy distribution, sports and leisure, mechanical industries and engineering, etc. The nature of Al-2011 with TiB2 are lightness, corrosion resistance, suitability for surface treatments, the diversity of the alloys and intermediates, ease of use, recycling, electrical and thermal conductivity, etcKeywords

Background/Objectives: Surface roughness plays a major role in determining how an original component will interact with its environment. For getting a good surface finish industries spent huge cost for introducing new technologies. The use of advanced engineering ceramics and composites in the aerospace and defense industries is continuous and increases day by day. Surface Roughness (SR) prediction plays a vital role in improving the surface finish in industries. The present work deals with predicting the surface roughness of AISI1020 steel material in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) by using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). Methods/Statistical Analysis: The discharge voltage, discharge current, pulse on time, pulse off time, gap between tool and workpiece and oil pressure are taken as the input parameters, whereas SR is the output machining parameter. Design of Experiment (DoE) is based on Response Surface Methodology (RSM). ANFIS model has been constructed using Gaussian membership function (Gaussmf) with 2 membership function for each and every input parameter and linear membership function for output parameter SR and MRR. Findings: We employed both the back propagation method and the hybrid method for membership function parameter training. Based on the conclusion from the comparison of ANFIS with two types of membership function parameter training, hybrid method provides accurate results. Applications/Improvements: It is further used that the maximum error when the network is optimized by the intelligent technique has been reduced considerably. Sensitivity analysis is also done to find the relative influence of factors on the performance measures. It is observed that type of material is having more influence on the performance measures.Keywords

Background/Objectives: Modelling and optimization of machining process is recognized to be an extremely challenging research area in current scenario. This study illustrates work suggestion, an intellectual approach in solving multi-response optimization problem involving Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) of LM25 Al composite using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) combined with Radial Basics Function Neural Network (RBFNN) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) techniques. Methods/Statistical Analysis: An experimental analysis was carried out in establishing the most significant machining parameters that throw in to MRR and SR. The experimental plan for these investigations was conducted according to the RSM. RBFNN and ANN is a computational intelligence model that consists of nodes that are interlinked.The optimization of EDM is performed by preferring input process parameters like discharge voltage, current, pulse-on time, pulse-off time, oil pressure and spark gap, and also output responses as Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (SR) using Box - Behnken method. Findings: Each node performs a simple operation in computing its output from its input that is transmitted through links connected to other links. This is comparatively simple computational model because of the analogous structure that of neural system in human brain-nodes equivalent neurons and links corresponding to synapses that transmit signals between neurons. Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) is utilized to train the network for optimizing the EDM parameters. By simulation the result was authenticated with the target output awaiting the network error has congregated to threshold minimum. Applications/Improvements: Multi-response MRR and SR modelling were performed in the EDM process and via the investigation on the experiment the results are confirmed. Different process parameters consequences have also been premeditated.Keywords

The antidepressant activity of ethanolic extract of Centella asiatica .Linn (Umbelliferae) were studied at doses of 100mg and 200mg/kg against forced swimming test in rodents. Imipramine (30mg/kg, i.p) was selected as reference standard and it showed significant antidepressant activity in rodents. A dose dependent reduction in immobility time was observed in FST. Whereas the extract significantly increases the exploratory behaviour in mice. The finding from the present investigation indicates that extract has significant antidepressant activity as shown by its effects on different experimentally induced different models.Keywords

Social media sites are depended on the basis of web mining concept to post and retrieve the views and comments from other users. Today social community groups are increasing in a vast amount. They used to share their views in social media such as “Telegram, Whatsapp, etc”. In this “n” number of threads are created by the users and other user of that community finds difficulty in viewing the post. The idea of the paper is to view the notifications and description about the notification was received through telegram. It reduces the unwanted posts that received in notification were neglected by the receiver if it is not useful.

A new frequency domain electromagnetic system, based on different working principle has been designed and its efficacy tested over the existing systems through laboratory-scale-model studies. In this system, two transmitter coils have been employed to generate a magnetic null plane at their geometric centre. The receiver coil is placed in the null plane to record the induced secondary field. The interaction of the primary field is almost negligible on the secondary field recorded by the receiver. We present the theory and physical model results describing the system parameters and efficacy. The testing through physical model studies suggests an increased depth of detection in this new configuration compared to the existing systems. In terms of secondary field, the strength of the anomaly reflects the magnetic permeability/susceptibility difference of the subsurface medium on either side of the receiver. The study concludes that there is significant increase in depth of investigation and secondary field strength in this system over the existing conventional frequency domain systems and also more robust for boundary detection.Keywords

This paper implement and analysis the effects of direct Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) for a single conical tank system. Classical control strategies fail due to its high nonlinearity, continuously varying area, and loading effects of a single conical tank system. To overcome the shortfalls, this article proposed the MRAC scheme for controlling the level of a single conical tank process. The MRAC can be regarded as an adaptive servo system, in which the desired performance is expressed in terms of a reference model that provides the anticipated response to a command signal. The selection of adaption gain is the most important part in the design of MRAC, particularly in real-time applications. This article analyses the effect of adaption gain from the lower value to upper value. The simulation result shows the higher values of adaption gain improves the system performances and reduces the error when compared with the lower values of adaption gain. To improving the stability and reliability of adaptive control, improved MRAC scheme is proposed with PID controller. This improved version has two loops such as inner loop and outer loop. Inner loop act as a normal feedback with PID controller and outer loop act as an adaptive control for parameter adjustment. This proposed approach shows, better performance than normal MRAC. The entire analyses are simulated in MATLAB R2013a environment.

Distributed energy resources systems are small scale power generation which is used to modernize advanced renewable technologies to facilitate smarter grid. Even though MLI holds special features such as better quality waveform, low electromagnetic interference, harmonic reduction but then usage of more switches in conventional MLI poses a constraint. The objective of this paper is mainly focused on single phase Multilevel Inverter (MLI) for distributed energy resources thereby minimizing power electronic switches for higher level output which essentially reduces the cost, switching losses and harmonics for real time application. The proposed inverter is modeled and compared with Cascaded H-Bridge MLI; simulation results are shown for 15-level and performance of MLI is validated using MATLAB 7.10 version (Simulink).Keywords

Now a days, Data transmission without using any network is very tedious job to do. In our project, data and audio is transmitted and received through visible lights and control the devices. The data is generated by microcontroller (tx) then transmitted through LED, these data can be received by photo detector and displayed on microcontroller. It is an advanced technology and the accuracy is more. Here, data communication, controlling the devices and as well as transmission of audio through visible light is achieved. Now a day, Wi-Fi is commonly used technology but the radiations are hazardous for human health so Li-Fi is the one which eliminated the wireless technology like Wi-Fi and transmits the data by using light. The security of transmitting the data is more compare to other technology. In industries, for file transmission and data transmission this technology is very useful because without using any networks one can easily transmit the data through existing light. It is user friendly and is cost effective. This technology is also used to control the devices like bulb, fan etc through visible light so that we can avoid the wastage of electricity. The data rate in this technology is faster than 10Mbps.

Transformers play an important role in transmission and distribution systems. Even to this day, 75% of high-voltage transformer failure is the outcome of improper dielectric insulation. The reliable operation and ageing characteristics of the transformers mainly depend on the insulation material. Mineral oil has been used as an insulation and coolant for almost a century in power transformers. Due to the development of extra high voltage and to cope with the increasing demand in voltage level, a nanofluids-based transformer oil is proposed here. In this work, nanoparticles such as aluminium oxide, molybdenum disulphide and titanium dioxide are used with transformer oil to analyse the various critical characteristics like dielectric strength, acidity, interfacial tension, viscosity, flash point and fire point of the power transformer. The observed results show that the proposed nanofluids-based transformer oil provides better performance than the normal transformer oil.Full Text

Lithium-ion batteries are efficient energy storage devices in electric vehicles (EVs). Graphite is used in these batteries as an anode material because of its high stability and good conductivity. However, the need for stability, safety and reversibility is increasing rapidly in commercial EVs. In this study, a Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub>/gra-phene hybrid nanocomposite coated with Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> has been developed using the microwave-assisted hydro-thermal process with graphite as the anode material for lithium-ion batteries. This combination of nano-materials increases the stability of the anode, electrical conductivity and electrochemical performance. The Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>/graphene/TiO<sub>2</sub> nanocomposite results in a rever-sible capacity of 920 mAh g–1 after analysing it in 160 cycles at a current density of 100 mAh g–1. The nano-composite provides excellent long-term cycle stability of 650 mAh g–1 after 160 cycles. This shows an ultra-high rate capability of 475 mAh g–1 at 150°C. The gra-phene and Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>/graphene/TiO<sub>2</sub>hybrid nanocomposite mixture coated with Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> exhibits good nonlinear cumulative effects, stability, high reversibility, and in-creased ultrahigh rate capability.Keywords

A Pre experimental one group pre and post test design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of Moringa oleifera leaves tea on reduction of blood pressure among hypertensive clients in selected rural area at BEML Nagar, KGF with 30 samples of hypertensive clients, selected by non probability purposive sampling technique. The blood pressure of the participants were monitored and recorded before and after intervention by using sphygmomanometer. The data obtained were analyzed and interpreted in terms of the objectives and hypothesis of the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for the data analysis the level of significance was set at 0.05 level. Before intervention 8 (27%) participants had mild Hypertension, 17 (56%) participants had moderate hypertension, 5 (17%) participants had severe hypertension. After intervention 20 (67%) participants had normal blood pressure, 7 (23%) participants had mild hypertension, 2 (07%) participants had moderate hypertension and only 1(3%) participant had severe hypertension. The difference between pre test mean score and post test mean score was 19.1. The obtained t value is 6.46 which is greater than the table value at 0.05 level of significance. Therefore the t value is found to be significant. There is remarkable reduction of blood pressure among hypertensive clients after administration of moringa leaves tea. None of the demographic variables show any statistical significance with effectiveness of moringa leaves tea on reduction of blood pressure among hypertensive clients except habit of smoking (p value is 0.0368) significance level set was < 0.05. The present study concluded that, there is remarkable reduction of blood pressure among hypertensive clients after administration of moringa leaves tea. Hence moringa leaves is found to be effective in reduction of hypertension.Keywords
