Some Novel Tea Substitutes from Kashmir

From the high altitudes of Jammu and Kashmir State three plants have been collected which are used as substitutes for the conventional tea plant -Camellia sinensis (Linn.) O. Kuntze. The beverage is prepared from the ischolar_mains of Polvgonum amplexicaule D. Don, and Platanus orientalis Linn,; and entire plant, of Balanoiphora involucrata Hook. f. & Thoms.
