Subscribe/Renew Journal
Mycoflora of six kinds of seeds of spices, namely Cumlnum cyminum, Trigonella foenum-graecum. Foeniculum vulgare, Carum carvi, Coriandrum sativum and Capsicum annum has been investigated. Nineteen species of fungi were isolated from seeds. Aspergilli were found to be the most common. The leaf extract of ferns affected germination of both seed and seed fungi. The seed extract, of spice-seeds were also toxic for germination of seed fungi. Five fungicides inhibited spore germination of seed fungi.
